Content Marketing Specialist

We’re seeking a content marketer responsible for Delta's marketing flywheel and the creation and execution of content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats for the agency, focusing on our promotional product services. Your goal is singular and will be the heart of our business to help us generate demand for our products and services and convert visitors into leads.

The ideal candidate is:

A teacher at heart: you love to write, are a researcher, and have the heart of a teacher who loves learning, writing, and communication in all forms.

A writer: a passionate brand storyteller and a journalist’s mindset, with an obsession for content performance, reporting, and analytics.

A digital native: expert in the foundational components of digital marketing - from blogging, long-form content, email marketing, social media, etc

A brand builder: excited about promotional products, swag, branded merch, and fashion.

A data-driven marketer: someone whose content and marketing initiatives are informed by data and performance but who is unafraid to take risks and help us progress.

About you:

  • 2+ years of full-time experience creating and executing content marketing.
  • BA/BS degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, or related communications field.
  • A strong writing portfolio.
  • Impeccable writing and editorial skills with an outstanding command of the English language.
  • You’re naturally organized, a good listener, not afraid to ask questions, and always eager to learn and try new things.
  • An understanding of common editorial style guides.
  • Experience interviewing subject matter experts for content.
  • You are passionate about telling a story using words, images, or audio and understanding how to create content that draws an audience.
  • The ability to think like an educator; intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it.
  • A passion for new technology tools and using those tools within your own blogs and social media outreach.
  • Clear articulation of the goal behind creating a piece (or series) of content.
  • Project management and organizational skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaigns.
  • A desire to continually learn the latest platforms, technology tools, and marketing solutions through partnerships.
  • Familiarity with principles of Inbound Marketing and HubSpot is a plus.
  • Be self-motivated, self-aware, self-disciplined, and self-improving, and use good judgment, positive energy, and a willingness to help others.
  • Experience with SEO platforms such as SEM Rush, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to a strong content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience (including blog posts, ebooks, guides, lookbooks, etc.).
  • Actively collaborate with leadership members, designers, sales, and external influencers to produce relevant content.
  • Research and curate promotional products, swag, and branded merch from our suppliers for blog articles, website updates, ebooks, lookbooks, etc.
  • Write and publish three or more new blog articles per week.
  • Manage and execute email marketing campaigns.
  • Create premium content, including lookbooks, guides, and more.
  • Support the SEO efforts for DMG’s website and content.
  • Publish content on the agency’s social media channels for community engagement and long-term content promotion.
  • Perform website updates and enhancements (e.g., homepage updates, product collections, new pages, and calls-to-action placement).
  • Audit and optimize blog content monthly.
  • Measure and report results to leadership on analytics for all content marketing efforts.
  • Become a HubSpot champion.
  • Prioritize professional development and continued education in relevant areas.

Where You’ll Work

This is a Burlington, Vermont-based position in either an onsite or hybrid capacity. Remote can be considered, but onsite/hybrid is preferred for building close relationships with your peers.
