Bookkeeper (part time)

Delta Marketing Group is a fast-growing firm that has activated thousands of brands and accelerated growth for some of the world’s most recognized companies.

We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The candidate will work closely with our business partners and production to create and analyze financial reports, process accounts payable and receivable, and manages invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate is experienced with Quickbooks. Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company accurately.

In this role you will:

  • Accounts Payable
    • Supplier invoice matching
    • Supplier Invoice vouching
    • Prepare weekly check run
    • Post supplier payments in QB
    • Interacting with suppliers
    • Company credit cards reconciliation
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Invoice clients
    • Apply client payments
    • Post payment summary to QB
    • Make collection calls weekly
    • Issue past due notices and statements
  • Payroll
    • Manage Payroll through Paychex
  • Handle credit requests and conduct credit references (if required)
  • Perform weekly bank deposits 
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Managing general ledger
  • Preparing and analyzing monthly financial reports
  • Assist with preparation of year-end financial statements
  • Most important:  Ensure efficient and accurate posting of transactions

About You:

  • Excellent telephone and written communication skills
  • Professional disposition when liaising with customers, suppliers, and co-workers 
  • Energetic, and strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and in team environment
  • Ability to multi-task, solve problems and prioritize without compromising details or accuracy of work
  • Ability to work under pressure with fluctuating demands and deadlines

  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn a new application

Required Skills:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience
  • Expert in QuickBooks
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Gsuite
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Post-secondary degree/certificate related to accounting/bookkeeper
